Deadline Management: What’s New
The latest updates in the management system (for more information, see: Custom Notifications and Digests) primarily involve the deadline management and calendar system, so a general recap might be useful.
The calendar interface and its integration with the event calendar remain unchanged. The search filters and the visual layout of the elements have not been modified either.
(For more details, refer to the tutorial video about the Calendar, available for viewing even without logging into the platform.)
What has changed are the notification settings.
Until a few weeks ago, the email notification interval was automatically set by the platform (1 month in advance). Now you can choose when to receive your notifications.
For each type of deadline, in addition to selecting recipients, you can now define a custom interval (days, weeks, months).
Beyond the time frame, the system also allows you to choose the level of preference activation, meaning at the site or project level.
Lastly, the most important new feature is the introduction of digests.
A digest is a summary of upcoming activities/events, sent via email, which also includes upcoming deadlines.
The same configuration options apply to digests as to notifications: users can set the frequency of reception with options for daily, monthly, or yearly.
Note
Video tutorials on the Calendar section and on correct notification configuration are available within the platform, providing a more detailed overview of the topics covered here.
