Risk Assessment and Work Phases: What’s New in Version 1.25!

Version 1.25 of 4HSE has officially been released, introducing two major new features: the ability to perform risk assessments directly within the software and the addition of work phase management. Alongside these updates, the menu has also been reorganized and refreshed for better usability.

How to Calculate Risk

The risk matrix helps you analyze:

  • Initial Risk: the starting level of risk.
  • Residual Risk: the remaining level of risk after implementing preventive measures.

To carry out a risk assessment, simply enter the values for the likelihood of the event and the potential severity of the harm. This will give you the initial risk score.

Next, by defining preventive actions and assigning numerical values to how they affect both likelihood and severity, the software will automatically calculate the residual risk level.

Both risk levels are clearly displayed in the matrix.

Work Phases

To support more effective risk assessments, a new section dedicated to work phases has been added.

Within this section, you can manage the work phases for one or multiple locations, including:

  • Viewing the list of work phases for each site
  • Adding or editing work phases
  • Deleting work phases

For each phase, you can also define in detail:

  • Risk sources
  • Existing and potential hazards
  • Associated personnel
  • Required preventive actions
